Thereza Bazar - The Big Kiss (1985) (vinyl Lp) - €5,00

Theresa Lorraine Bazar (born 23 May 1955) is a Canadian-born British singer, best known as a member of the pop duo Dollar.
Bazar found success in her late teens as a member of 1970s vocal/dance group Guys 'n' Dolls, who scored a 1975 hit with "There's A Whole Lot of Lovin'".
The group went on to have a period of moderate chart success in Britain but were more successful in Belgium and the Netherlands. By 1977, Bazar's then-boyfriend and bandmate David Van Day made it known he felt disillusioned with the group, he and Bazar were subsequently dismissed by the group in 1977. Van Day and Bazar formed Dollar in 1977.

Bazar released one solo studio album in 1985 called The Big Kiss, which she co-wrote.
It was produced by Arif Mardin and featured the singles "The Big Kiss" and "Too Much in Love".
The album reportedly cost half a million pounds to produce and generated media attention, but according to Bazar, the album's circulation was poor due to a mix-up at the record company, with the album allegedly unavailable at the time of its advertised release.
Thereza has a quirky, breathy pop vocal style but as the solo lead, she gets chance to showcase more variation here (including some Lene Lovich yelps on the fantastic dance-rock of Give Yourself Up, where the melodic keyboards are reminiscent of Heart) and it works really well overall.
There's still a Dollar-style sound to much of the album (which includes a solo rendition of Dollar's Give Me Back My Heart), plus some similarities to the work of Kim Wilde, Jane Wiedlin, Bangles, Cyndi Lauper and Sandra.
Some great songs and arrangements are propelled along by fantastic keyboards, drums and guitars. Note that the SAW mix of The Big Kiss isn't at all Europop or Hi-NRG in style, despite it being hot on the heels of their work on Dead or Alive's You Spin Me Round.
There's a hint of Laura Branigan's 'Satisfaction' in the driving rhythm of the Traitor Of The Heart demo though the finished recordings took it in more of a rocky direction (the Domination Remix is more sparse and forceful).
And a jittering sequencer runs under the intro of Too Much In Love, though the song is only 84bpm.
